UNIQA Vs IPER-CUT One Step polishing compounds for car

Why two “One step polishing compounds”?

The difference between a rotary polisher and an orbital/dual action machine polish?

Is it possible to use a one-step polishing compound with orbital/dual action machine polish?

Why two “One step polishing compounds”?

UNIQA was born with the aim of creating a “One Step polishing compound” also for orbital/dual action machine polishers.

In many cases orbital/dual action polisher is used exclusively for final polishing steps – in combination with an abrasive nano polish such as SUPERFINISHER or with a protective polish such as SIRIUS. This could be an annoyance:

First step with a rotary polisher and an “one-step” paste. Then, I have to change the polishing paste,  I have to change the polishing pad and I also have to change the polishing machine to get a better finish. I change paste, foam pad and polisher! Is there a better solution?

UNIQA was designed to get rid of this double-step and use only the orbital/dual action polishing machine for all the phases of the process: from the paste down to the polish with just one machine.

The difference between a rotary polisher and an orbital/dual action machine polish?

Rotary polishing machine

A very simple movement characterizes this type of polishing machine: the rotary one. In fact, the back plate and the foam pad move clockwise – this movement is considered the best in terms of cutting power. The rotary movement may overheat the surface and, if not well managed, in some cases leaves marks on the surface: small polishing scratches which need to be removed with a less abrasive polish.

Orbital/Dual Action machine polish

The orbital/dual action polisher is much easier. The back plate as well as the foam pad perform micro orbits while at the same time move clockwise around the axis. Usally, this type of movement does not guarantee an abrasive power comparable to a rotary movement; this is why  it is often used mainly for the removal of holograms and small defects.

Is it possible to use an one-step polishing compound with orbital/dual action machine polish?

Is it possible to use an one-step polishing compound with orbital/dual action machine polish to remove P2000 sanding marks? Yes, UNIQA has been developed precisely for this: in a standard situatio, it is possible to use a orbital polisher to remove P2000 sanding.

Watch the video and learn how to remove P2000 with IPER-CUT and UNIQA!
