Tumbling process is important to allow an excellent painting procedure of injected plastic frames, temples and earpieces, like nylon (PMMA) or grilamid: the surface must be perfectly smooth in order to guarantee an uniform and durable result.
Pai Classic line for injected plastic eyewear meets these requirements. The first step (grinding) allows to remove the burrs resulting from the moulding, both when it is realized with wet vibrators or dry rotating tumbling machines, with plastic or wood media. The smoothing process flattens the piece, which can be further refinished before the painting with polishing and shining phases.
The step on cleaning machines with the solide abrasive compounds applied to the cotton wheels deletes in closing imperfections and micro-scratches.
